In 2009, H-Energy was established with the vision to contribute to the economic growth of India by offering world-class, environmentally safe and sustainable, energy solutions.
H-Energy developed LNG re-gasification terminals and cross-country pipelines on the west and east coast of India. Via its marketing arm, the company added end-to-end natural gas solutions - including LNG sourcing and downstream deliveries, in addition to its re-gasification facilities - to its offering. The Indian energy market already had 3 established LNG re-gasification terminals across the country, so H-Energy set out with the objective to be a challenger brand.
With a promise of "realising possibilities", the H-Energy brand was born. The name was an easy solve; “H” stands for Hiranandani - the founding family's name - followed by Energy, a clear descriptor of the output and industry the new company would be operating in.
The brand mark is an inspired piece of typography playing on the universal "+" symbol that marks the positive terminal on a battery. To communicate the company's vision for H-Energy to be a positive force in the community, we combined the "+" with the "H" and ta-da! The brand's identity was born. A bold and vibrant piece of san-serifed typography with no hard edges or sharp curves, our intention was to play on the natural and organic foundation the brand is built on. The colour palate choice was deliberately kept small with a vibrant green and energetic blue as the dominant focus. The brand look was rolled out across a large selection of detailed collateral including branded transport trucks, signage and environmental wayfinding solutions for the onsite facilities, staff uniforms and ATL activations.
